Back in the US and so ready to race. Missoula is a beautiful area and the course was SO FUN. The trails made their way in and out of the trees and the downhill was flowy and fast. On the line there were not many of us, four 15-16 and two in the UCI 17-18. I was glad that we would be starting together. I got a good spot on the front row and the countdown began. Silence filled the air and we were all just waiting to start. Bam! I was in the perfect gear and pulled off into the lead. I was feeling great and all ready had created a small gap. I began to relax and settle into a steady rhythm for the climb. As I traveled up the switchbacks and fire road I watched the riders to see where they were at. Already the group was splitting up, I put my head down and focused on my race. I was still leading as we reached the descent with the next rider barely in sight. Woot Woot! Every turn was so much fun as I made my way back down the hill and towards the start line. The cheering filled me up as I made my way back up the climb and into the second lap. Throughout the lap I could tell that my gap was slowly growing and I held my steady pace. Soon, I was going into my final lap and still feeling strong. Every hill was a push and a step closer to the win. The downhill was welcomed with a smile and I made my way towards the crowd. I was so excited to cross the line in first place and feel so great throughout the race. Loved racing with my favorite girls and spending time in this beautiful area. A huge thanks to my team, sponsors, Dario, and mechanics for making everything possible! Next up Colorado Springs!
